Halcyon Domain
Summary
The Halcyon Domain is the name of the realm where the Age of Umbra takes place—a broken world that rots in the wake of the Veiled Gods' abandonment. Once a land of grandiose cities and awe-inspiring cathedrals, it now lies shattered and desolate, eternally cursed by The Apostasy.
The realm is suffused with ever-growing shadow, the clouded skies darkening with each passing generation as they herald the world's slow death march into entropy and oblivion.
History
Before the Age of Umbra, the Halcyon Domain was a prosperous realm ruled by God-King Othedias under the guiding hand of the Veiled Gods. The practice of Aetherweaving was paramount to its construction and prosperity.
When Othedias betrayed the Pantheon, the gods rained destruction upon the land, ending the Old World. The divine abandonment that followed—the Apostasy—cursed the surviving peoples with the Soul Blight and left them to wither under growing darkness.
