Okros
Summary
Okros is an emergent fort village in the Idol Hollows that has stood resilient against the surrounding swampland dangers for over fifty years. Its massive walls of melted shields and stone encircle the village and its central Sacred Pyre, whose flames climb above the tallest ramparts—a burning symbol of strength and safety visible from across the Idol Hollows.
Okros serves as the starting location for the campaign's inciting incident.
History
Okros was founded over fifty years ago by survivors seeking shelter in the Idol Hollows. The walls were constructed from salvaged materials, including shields melted together with stone to create a formidable barrier against the horrors of The Umbra.
The settlement has survived through the skill of its hunting bands and the dedication of its Pyrekeepers.
Current Crisis
A recent seismic event opened the Shalk Chasm, uncovering pre-Old World structures. When Huntmaster Evrados and his hunting band investigated a temple within the chasm, they were captured by an unknown monster. Now their voices scream from beyond the walls, terrifying the community.
