Cloven Ridge Village

Summary

A village at the top of Sever-Peak Mount. The citizens of this village are mostly Fauns.
A small, peaceful faun village built vertically along a steep mountainside, with wooden homes, rope bridges, terraces, and countless steep stairs carved around the cliffs. A waterfall runs through part of the settlement, adding to its natural, quiet feel.

• Everyone knows everyone, and people are warm, helpful, and very involved in each other’s lives. There’s plenty of gossip, shared childcare, communal give-and-take stalls, and a strong sense of community. They love music, dancing, celebrations, and a slow, nature-connected way of life.
• The oldest generations can be more wary of non-fauns, but the village has become increasingly accepting.
• There’s no single leader; a small group of elders helps make decisions with the community’s input.
• At the upper center of the village, ancient bells/chimes are built into the mountain above a large wooden platform used for ceremonies, weddings, festivals, and celebrations.

• Aveena - formerly.
• Selene Lune (mother): 
  Elderly faun, longer curving horns like Aveena’s, curly silver hair tied up in a bun. Simple work clothes. Golden eyes. 
  Owner of a small herbal shop above their home in the village. She had Aveena help work with her since she was old enough (yet Aveena put little care into learning it all) 
  They often got into arguments. 
  She’s a stubborn person, likes order, but can be warm and loves to cook. Like all the village people, she gossips a lot, and can't keep secrets.

• Tessa (Friend):
  Avena's age, childhood friends that grew apart with time. Still living in the village. 
  She has 3 children - one born recently. Usually a very happy and peaceful person, loves to talk about her children. She’s the wife of the village's owner of the bread bakery - often seen taking care of her own kids or others.
• Merrin (Mothers friend): 
  Out of her mothers 3 friends, she’s the closest and used to help raise Aveena once her father passed. 
  An elderly faun, with crooked horns. She’s a bit wild, which made the village children love her as she wouldn’t be as strict as most adults were.
  Aveena liked her very much when she was a kid - mostly since she would let her run off on the mountain without telling her mom.
• Ivar (Elder of the village):
  One of the main voices of the village. Weary of outsiders. Overseer of traditions and ceremonies. Respected for keeping the village's old customs. 
  Very goat-like appearance at his old age.
