Summary
The party woke up in the small orchard Rohkin and his flock led them to, but Rohkin, the Wandering Horn and most of his beasts were missing.
The party noticed a strange rumbling in the ground, like an approaching stampede, Lorcan flew up and saw Giant Eagles in an arrow formation, on the way to the Tree Spire, with Haven Army soldiers running on the ground.
The party decided to run and get to the Tree Spire, they managed to escape the army but as they arrived, they saw the army closing in on the giant tree, few Eagles landing in the forest clearing.
Grand General Veronika Kasvox got off her Gryphon, Xuan greeted her, Kasvox is here to take control over the Tree Spire, and many more Haven Army units are spread throughout the forest to capture settlements and temples to capture the Fanewraith.
Sum'ara went to meet Tulik, she asked if either the Fanewraith or Nikta were here, Tulik says The Fanewraith visited two times - about 4 days ago, she looked for Nikta and was really nice to everybody, she offered help in the temple and the market; and yesterday - she was exhausted, tired, and in a hurry, she was here for a very short time and left quickly.
Meanwhile, Lorcan and Mort tried to gather information from the ancient forest spirit of the Tree Spire itself. Mort saw a vision from yesterday, she saw the Fanewraith touching the tree, asking for something, falling to her knees and crying - and then a flower grew from where her tears fell. She smelled the flower and thanked the tree, and left.
Lorcan exhausted himself after connecting to the tree and its roots, he saw the location of Nikta, on the top of the dome of the Sesh Monastery. Nikta noticed him and paralyzed him with roots, attempting to drown him and let the forest claim him. Mort tried to pull him but got rooted as well, and Xuan pulled them at the last moment.
Mort picked up the flower she saw in her vision.
Seeing this, a couple of Haven Army soldiers sent word to the General.
After offering condolences to Aveena, Grand General Kasvox went up the Tree Spire to the Temple of Nikta, and meet High Priest of Nikta, Tullik, she also declared that this area is now under siege and under full control of the Haven Army and The Triumvirate, and if anyone has any information regarding the whereabouts of either Nikta or The Fanewraith, they will be granted full Havenite citizenship and free passage.
Sum'ara hid under Invisibility, and Grand General Kasvox asked if Tulik knows where The Fanewraith is, she then dislocated his shoulder after refusing to answer, Sum'ara tried to distract the General by disguising herself as a Havenite soldier she saw earlier, but the same soldier - the real one, came up to report something to the General.
After realizing Sum'ara is lying, the General picked her by the collar near the edge of the tree branch, threatening to throw her.
Sum'ara changed form to Spymaster Kreil Dirn, and Grand General Veronika Kasvox laughed and dismissed this as another disguise, knowing her colleague will never leave his office. In a last attempt, Sum'ara tried to become Invisible again but failed, and tried to stab the General in the eye - Kasvox caught Sum'ara's arm and threw her off the branch.
After falling to the ground, Sum'ara ran from the soldiers and got rid of the disguise.
After meeting the rest of the party, Sum'ara was apprehended by the soldiers due to the War Wizards tracking her, she was paralyzed by them and then led to the General for questioning.
After a quick explanation, Xuan vouched for Sum'ara, but the General asked Xuan to bring her the flower Mort took for Sum'ara's freedom.
Xuan went to the tavern and met the rest of the party, Lorcan realized this flower is of a type called Death's Embrace, a very rare flower which grows over buried Gods. He remembers its smell from his expedition to Zoldrak Cairn.
Lorcan produced a fake but identical flower using his Druid abilities, and Xuan delivered it to Grand General Kasvox - and she released Sum'ara.
Xuan told the General they are headed to the Sesh Monastery, but left out the reason. The General invited herself and told him they leave immediately, she got on her Gryphon and went to hover near the tavern.
