Xuan Wu
Summary
A former Haven soldier of the elite Dragon Fist squad, now haunted by the execution of his brother and the destruction of his adopted family, seeking to return a stolen talisman to its rightful owners.
Background
Born in a northern Galapa fisherman village, Xuan Wu was strong and always challenging himself. He and his brother, Axalon, joined the The Witherwild/03 Factions/Haven Army and were chosen for the Dragon Fist, an elite secret ops squad. They undertook many missions without question, simply doing what needed to be done.
Their path diverged after a mission to subdue a giant village named Akrahim, where their commander stole a talisman called the "Flower of Stone". Discovering the commander's greed, Axalon stole the talisman back and hid it. When he was caught trying to flee, Xuan Wu was ordered to execute his own brother to prove his loyalty. Just before the axe fell, Axalon whispered, "Please, return the flower to the giants. All we did was for the commander's greed." Standing in the rain, watching his brother's head fall, Xuan Wu understood that nothing good comes from Haven's conquest.
He deserted the army, taking the talisman which he found hidden in his bed. He settled in a small village called Draham and adopted two giant orphans, Edric and Thorn, teaching them to fight and defend the weak while he looked for a way to return the talisman. Edric showed more potential, and a jealous Thorn vanished on his 18th birthday to join Haven's army. Five years later, Thorn returned, leading a raid on Draham that was part of Haven's attack on Fanewick. He killed Edric while Xuan Wu had been lured away by a false rumor. Xuan cried for a week, trying to understand why he once again failed to protect those he loved.
Personal Quest
He is currently looking for the person who commanded the raid on his village, not knowing it was his own adopted son, Thorn. All while holding onto the Flower of Stone that he needs to return to the giants.
